Production Planner II (Manufacturing)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States. Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor; proper PPE is required on the floor.

What you will do

• Review project scope, pricing, vendor quotes, glass requirements, routing, and material locations to validate production readiness.
• Run CTO planning reports, optimize extrusion usage with Cut Planner, and determine purchasing requirements.
• Release and maintain Bills of Material in Epicor, update job data, and align schedules, finishing triggers, pricing, and supplier information.
• Generate purchase orders, coordinate vendor documentation and acknowledgments, track delays, and resolve material discrepancies.
• Coordinate material flow, production scheduling, engineering revisions, DMRs, special orders, project status updates, and project closeout.
• Support the Master Scheduler, Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Scheduling teams with operational coordination and process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• 1–3 years of scheduling or production planning experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced ERP and data analysis skills, including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft systems, and Microsoft Excel; Epicor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of supply chain operations, lean manufacturing, inventory management, logistics coordination, and demand forecasting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
