Industrial Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Fitchburg, Massachusetts, USA; onsite, 2nd shift from 2:45pm to 11:00pm

Salary: $31.47–$41.41 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Read electrical schematics and use PLCs to diagnose faults on automated production lines.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain equipment according to OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with team members and engineers to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and optimize processes.
• Maintain a safe work area, document maintenance activities, and support site productivity and quality goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including electrical training or certification and PLC training or certification.
• Ability to obtain any licenses or certifications required for the role within the specified timeframe.
• Mechanical, technical, mathematical, communication, and logical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and safely in a fast-paced, highly participative environment.
• Commitment to productivity improvement, safety, and quality.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Associate degree or higher in manufacturing or electrical disciplines.
• Experience using PLCs to troubleshoot equipment and identify root causes.
