OpEx Lean - Continuous Improvement Technician - 1st Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, five days per week; 1st shift

What you will do

• Drive lean transformation and daily management initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Train and coach operators, team leaders, and employees on lean tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Lead or support Rapid Improvement Events, projects, and daily improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Implement 5S, standard work, visual management, cell control boards, mission control, and MDI boards.
• Conduct cycle-time analyses, time studies, line-balance improvements, workplace analyses, and process improvements.
• Identify and resolve process obstacles, support takt attainment, complete sustainability audits, and follow up on action plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma and two years of manufacturing experience.
• Associate degree with manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and maneuver in small spaces around equipment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business applications.
• Willingness to learn continuously, adapt priorities, and work effectively with employees and associates at all levels.
