What you will do

  • Design, develop, optimize, and validate test methods for thermal, mechanical, electrical, rheological, and reliability performance.
  • Build automated test sequences and instrument interfaces to improve throughput, repeatability, and data integrity.
  • Design and validate prototype fixtures that reproduce customer application conditions.
  • Characterize interactions between thermal interface materials and system components such as heat spreaders, heat sinks, power modules, and IGBT/SiC packages.
  • Investigate anomalous results, analyze complex datasets, and establish statistical confidence in test results.
  • Collaborate with materials scientists, design engineers, product managers, customer teams, and global test teams; prepare technical reports and train laboratory technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with multidisciplinary thermal, material, electrical, and/or mechanical testing.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer, solid mechanics, and materials behavior.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and statistical tools including Python, MATLAB, or Minitab.
  • Ability to work on-site in Cleveland, Ohio.

Nice to have

  • Experience with phase-transition heat transfer technologies such as heat pipes and vapor chambers.
