Test Engineer (Mechanical Testing)

Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; relocation expected for non-local candidates

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience and skills

What you will do

• Develop test plans, procedures, and methods for mechanical testing of bicycle products.
• Design, build, manage, and improve automated development test systems for mechatronic devices.
• Characterize product behavior, analyze test data, and communicate results to support product development.
• Resolve complex engineering issues related to testing and investigate product failures.
• Apply statistics and reliability principles to develop effective test plans.
• Write, review, and release test procedures while applying continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical test execution and issue management.
• Experience with mechatronic and sensing technologies.
• Skills in mechanical testing, Python application development and scripting, 3D modeling, and failure analysis.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for approximately 1–3 one-week trips per year.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronics, PCBAs, and firmware or software.
