TL;DR
Lead Systems Administrator (AWS/Linux): Designing, deploying, and sustaining secure mission systems in AWS GovCloud and C2S environments with an accent on Red Hat/CentOS administration, cybersecurity hardening, and cloud automation. Focus on vulnerability remediation, RMF compliance, STIG implementation, systems troubleshooting, and maintaining classified infrastructure.

Location: Melbourne, Florida or Patrick Space Force Base, Florida; local travel to Patrick SFB may be required.

What you will do

  • Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Red Hat and CentOS Linux systems in secure mission environments.
  • Deploy and manage AWS GovCloud and C2S infrastructure using automation and virtualization technologies.
  • Operate AWS cloud systems and support JBoss-based services.
  • Implement system hardening based on DoD security standards, STIGs, and cybersecurity policies.
  • Identify and remediate vulnerabilities while supporting RMF controls, POA&M tracking, audits, and accreditation activities.
  • Maintain system performance, configuration records, change documentation, and operational reliability while coordinating with cybersecurity, network, and program teams.

Requirements

  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Applicants must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance; security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, graduate degree with at least 7 years, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification required, such as CCNA Security, Security+ CE, or a higher certification.
  • Strong experience with Linux systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and troubleshooting.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PKI or OAuth authentication models.
  • Experience integrating, securing, and administering cross-domain systems.
  • Experience with microservices and container technologies such as Docker.
