TL;DR
Staff UX Researcher (AI): Building research strategy and user experiences for AI agents, automated workflows, and enterprise identity and security platforms with an accent on mixed-methods research, AI-assisted operations, and technical user needs. Focus on evaluating non-deterministic AI systems, applying statistical and behavioral analysis, and aligning Product, Design, ML Engineering, and Data Science stakeholders.
Location: Hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Annual base salary: CAD 140,000–193,000

What you will do
- Own an AI-focused UX research roadmap for key product areas across identity, security, and artificial intelligence.
- Lead foundational and evaluative research that shapes strategic and tactical product decisions.
- Apply qualitative methods such as contextual inquiry and cognitive walkthroughs alongside surveys, behavioral telemetry, and statistical modeling.
- Integrate AI tools, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows into research operations, synthesis, and insight delivery.
- Facilitate alignment across Product, Design, ML Engineering, Data Science, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Build customer empathy, mentor researchers, and communicate high-impact findings through compelling stories.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on UX research experience in complex B2B, developer, or enterprise software environments.
- Experience driving product impact at Senior or Staff level.
- Strong mastery of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Daily practical experience using AI tools and prompt workflows to structure data, synthesize research, and scale insight delivery.
- Experience researching products for developers, administrators, or other technical audiences.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Data Science, Social Sciences, or equivalent industry experience.
Nice to have
- SQL, R, or Python, plus cluster analysis, advanced statistical modeling, or A/B testing.
- Human-in-the-Loop UX evaluation, advanced prompt engineering for operations, agentic workflow evaluation, or synthetic data validation.
- Experience working on security products.
