TL;DR
Sustaining Engineer II (Medical Devices): Supporting service and repair infrastructure for distributed medical products with an accent on service documentation, process improvement, and product sustainment. Focus on analyzing maintenance data, implementing reliability and quality improvements, and translating service requirements into scalable processes across U.S. service sites.

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite 5 days per week. The role supports service operations in Fort Worth, Louisville, Colorado, and Jacksonville, Florida. Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; visa sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level.

Salary: $81,600–$122,400 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

  • Support distributed medical products and service and repair operations across multiple U.S. service centers.
  • Maintain and improve service processes, tools, systems, work instructions, service records, and supporting documentation.
  • Represent Service & Repair Operations in new product introduction, product lifecycle, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyze service and maintenance data to identify reliability trends, parts obsolescence, safety risks, and failure causes.
  • Develop design, process, material, and test specification changes that improve quality, reliability, manufacturability, and service support.
  • Partner with technicians and site experts to document findings, implement corrective actions, and support consistent processes across regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 0 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, or electro-mechanical systems is relevant to the role.
  • Strong Excel skills, including spreadsheet configuration, formula validation, formatting, and structured service records.
  • Experience with service documentation, product support, manufacturing, regulated products, or sustaining engineering is valuable.
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

  • Experience in medical device, service center, manufacturing, or other regulated product environments.
  • Experience with new product introduction, product lifecycle changes, or acquired technologies.
  • Experience standardizing processes across multiple sites or regions.
  • Exposure to Lean or Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement methods.
