Electronics Technician I (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite five days per week

Salary: $36,300–$66,465 annual base salary range

What you will do

• Support new product development, sustainability, quality improvement, and agency compliance testing.
• Operate commercial HVAC equipment, control test facilities, and collect experimental performance and safety data.
• Assist with electronics test planning, instrumentation, data acquisition setup, and testing against approved plans and agency standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC technologies and equipment with guidance from senior laboratory staff.
• Maintain a safe work area and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory procedures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electromechanical studies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, data acquisition, and communications equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical and electrical components, schematics, engineering drawings, technical reports, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to follow work instructions and applicable test standards, troubleshoot practical problems, multitask, and collaborate in a fast-paced team environment.
