Application Engineer I/II (HVAC)

Location: Schofield, Wisconsin, United States; work is performed in an office environment with occasional in-person meetings, onsite customer support, travel, and offsite events.

Base pay: $77,235–$117,552 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical support by phone and email on product selection and application for internal and external sales teams.
• Develop solutions for unique applications, including special product designs and pricing.
• Investigate complex field problems, document service calls, and provide resolutions, including onsite support when needed.
• Apply industry codes and standards to determine product requirements.
• Communicate product value propositions and build relationships across the representative network and sales channel.
• Develop and deliver product training, support process improvements, and manage moderately complex team projects.

Requirements

• Application Engineer I: 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Application Engineer II: 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Two-year associate degree in engineering or equivalent job experience.
• Ability to support product applications, resolve technical issues, and communicate solutions to sales teams and customers.
• Ability to travel for onsite support and participate in offsite events when required.

Nice to have

• Four-year bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience with commercial HVAC products, competitor products, industry associations, or mentoring and training team members.
