Practice Leader, Family Business Group

Salary: $171,700–$300,500 USD base pay annually

What you will do

• Lead the Family Business Group and define its long-term growth strategy and annual business plan.
• Advise high net worth families on family governance, corporate governance, business succession, and pre-transaction planning.
• Support business development through opportunity evaluation, prospect meetings, client meetings, and external marketing.
• Oversee operational processes, fiduciary oversight, risk management, compliance coordination, and client service standards for the private business portfolio.
• Lead staffing, hiring, training, vendor relationships, and subject-matter-expert activities including speaking engagements and article writing.

Requirements

• More than 10 years of advisory experience with private businesses, such as accounting, law, investment banking, or wealth management.
• Deep knowledge of family governance, corporate governance, and business succession for multigenerational private businesses.
• Experience advising sophisticated high net worth families.
• Leadership and management experience overseeing a team, business, or business division.
• Ability to communicate the group’s value proposition to audiences with varying levels of sophistication.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience negotiating purchase and sale contracts and related agreements for private business entities.
• Knowledge of managing closely held entities as trustee or executor.
