Sr Engineer, AI/Machine Learning

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States

Annual salary: $140,000–$170,000, plus potential bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Develop advanced algorithms using machine learning, deep learning, digital signal processing, optimization, and numerical modeling.
• Analyze physiological and biomedical data to identify relationships with clinically relevant conditions.
• Design, implement, test, and document biomedical signal processing systems.
• Develop computational models for disease detection, diagnosis, and prediction of critical events.
• Generate patentable ideas and contribute to next-generation medical device development.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers in cross-functional R&D teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, statistical signal processing, deep learning, optimization, and numerical modeling in the medical device industry.
• Experience with regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, CNNs, and RNNs.
• Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or scikit-learn.
• Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, C, or C++ and exposure to software engineering methods.
• Familiarity with DSP architecture and embedded systems.

Nice to have

• Understanding of human physiology and experience designing clinical protocols.
• Experience applying AI/ML and signal processing techniques to biomedical signals.
