Applied ML Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, train, and evaluate models for object detection, classification, anomaly detection, and sensor-based inference.
• Optimize model architectures and inference pipelines for embedded and edge hardware with compute and bandwidth constraints.
• Develop datasets and labeling strategies using augmentation, synthetic data generation, and domain adaptation.
• Prototype solutions across computer vision, signal processing, and multimodal sensor fusion.
• Implement real-time sensor-data pipelines for on-device and cloud environments.
• Build benchmarking, visualization, and debugging tools while contributing to code reviews and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field; bachelor’s candidates may be considered case by case.
• 4+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with image, time-series, geospatial, RF, or other multimodal data.
• Experience with edge or embedded ML deployment, model compression, and hardware-aware optimization.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience in maritime, aerospace, or other remote-sensing domains.
• Familiarity with cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning, and model monitoring.
