AI/ML Engineer

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States

Base salary: $105,000–$154,000 per year

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and operate AI applications and scalable machine learning solutions.
• Automate model training and deployment workflows.
• Support production AI infrastructure and cloud-native systems running on premises.
• Develop production-grade Python services and APIs using FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, AI, software engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills, including FastAPI, asynchronous programming, and production-grade development.
• Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with Linux, Docker, containerized applications, Kubernetes fundamentals, and Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with large language models and prompt engineering.
• Experience building end-to-end RAG pipelines, including chunking, embedding, retrieval, and reranking.
• Experience with LLM serving frameworks such as vLLM or Ollama and vector databases such as Qdrant.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript and Next.js.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Kubeflow or KubeRay.
