Sr Staff Firmware & Validation Test Engineer (BIOS/BMC)

Salary: $116,250–$155,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop and execute validation strategies for firmware, BIOS, BMC, and platform management features across complex hardware systems.
• Design and maintain automated test frameworks, validation tools, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Create test plans and qualification criteria, and perform functional, integration, regression, stress, performance, and reliability testing.
• Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and troubleshooting of firmware, hardware, and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with firmware, BIOS, hardware, validation, quality, and program management teams to resolve defects and improve product quality.
• Support hardware bring-up, platform integration, pre-production qualification, and firmware release readiness for manufacturing and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in firmware, BIOS, BMC, platform, or systems validation.
• Strong knowledge of firmware architectures, BIOS technologies, BMC platforms, and server hardware systems.
• Hands-on experience with automated test frameworks and validation tools using Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
• Experience with hardware bring-up, platform integration, qualification testing, release validation, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in data center, enterprise server, cloud, or hyperscale hardware environments, with strong analytical and collaboration skills.
