Manager, Mechanical Engineering - Motion Systems (PSP) (Semiconductor)

Location: Horsham, Pennsylvania, United States; travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $128,000–$188,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a mechanical engineering team, including direct reports, contractors, and external partners.
• Own mechanical engineering for process chemistry delivery and automation, wafer tooling, and structural frames across the product lifecycle.
• Ensure designs meet performance, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver engineering programs on schedule and within budget while managing risks and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Process, Electrical, Software, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Service teams.
• Improve engineering processes, documentation, and workflows and provide technical escalation support for released products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience with direct reports.
• Experience contributing to mechanical design across multiple product development phases.
• Working knowledge of electro-mechanical design architectures and design for safety, manufacturing, and service.
• Experience with FMEA, risk evaluation, RCCA, complex capital equipment, materials and finishes for aggressive environments, and cleanroom applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or directly contributing to sophisticated capital equipment design.
• Experience with semiconductor wet process equipment and wet processing chemistries.
