Project Director - Rail, Roadways and Resort Development

Location: 138 Cauldwell Street, Bedford, United Kingdom. Full-time role with regular travel across the UK and occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams responsible for planning, design, construction, and commissioning of resort infrastructure and property development projects.
• Direct the delivery of enabling infrastructure, including public roadways, bridges, rail station development, and construction logistics.
• Manage project strategy, scope, schedules, budgets, procurement, commercial matters, contracts, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate Universal Creative, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Legal, Security, EHS, government stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and third-party developers.
• Control project safety, quality, schedule, budget, change orders, claims, disputes, interfaces, document control, and commissioning activities.
• Lead and develop direct reports and maintain project reporting for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Management, or a related field.
• Experience delivering infrastructure construction projects through design and construction phases, including roadways, rail development, and roadway structures.
• Experience with scheduling, estimating, bidding, negotiations, critical path management, site logistics, constructability reviews, and project finance.
• Knowledge of construction project delivery methods, bespoke contracts, development agreements, contract administration, and change orders.
• Ability to interpret design and construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Planner, Power BI, Teams, Power Apps, and Bluebeam or equivalent PDF software. AutoCAD and Revit are preferred.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD and Revit experience.
• SIA licensing or relevant executive security certifications.
