Project Manager - Construction

Location: Field-based across Scotland and the North, Manchester, Birmingham, and Holborn, London, with nationwide site visits including some engineering and night working hours.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver contractor-led CAPEX projects through scoping, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor contractors and suppliers for compliance with specifications, project scope, quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct site visits and oversee roadside installations, including work during engineering and night working hours.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, operations, finance, partnerships, safety, and programme stakeholders.
• Prepare progress updates, closeout documentation, post-project evaluations, and handovers to sales and Operations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in project management or CAPEX project delivery, preferably in construction, engineering, or digital industries.
• Experience delivering construction installation and commissioning projects, ideally in roadside, highway, rail, or airport environments.
• Experience managing contractors and suppliers within NEC3/4 or similar contract management environments.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and demonstrated safety-first site management and auditing.
• Practical knowledge of project management methods, ideally with practitioner-level PRINCE2 or equivalent certification.
• Experience with project management software, Microsoft Office, budget control, risk management, scheduling, stakeholder communication, and prioritisation.
