Mechanical Engineer Equipment&Packages (Waste-to-Energy)

Location: Milan, Italy; onsite position

Salary: €48,000 gross per year minimum, with final compensation based on level, skills, experience, and qualifications

What you will do

• Participate in contract reviews and translate project requirements into engineering documentation.
• Prepare and issue RFQ Technical Specification Documents and ensure RFQ and purchase-order milestones are achieved on schedule.
• Lead technical negotiations with suppliers and participate in lot kick-off meetings with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical expediting meetings with Procurement and Quality Engineering, track supplier engineering progress, and resolve technical queries.
• Ensure lot engineering activities are delivered on time and to a high standard while facilitating information flow across disciplines.
• Maintain cooperation with product owners and contribute to updating engineering document templates.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer E&P or in a similar position.
• Experience in waste-to-energy or wet AD plants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Independence in specifying and managing third-party-designed equipment and packages.
• Project execution experience, a problem-solving mindset, and efficient performance.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
