Senior Data Business Analyst

What you will do

• Lead strategic discovery and delivery activities across large-scale, cross-functional data programmes.
• Translate complex business problems into requirements and actionable data solutions with Product, Data Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Analyse business processes, data flows, customer journeys, and operational challenges to identify improvements.
• Facilitate workshops to define outcomes, KPIs, success measures, business cases, and benefits tracking.
• Own requirements from discovery through implementation and partner with Product Managers to prioritise backlogs.
• Lead solution validation, UAT strategy, organisational change, process redesign, and adoption of new data capabilities.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst in large, complex environments.
• Proven delivery experience across data, analytics, reporting, or platform transformation programmes.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data flows, governance, data quality, and modern data ecosystems.
• Advanced requirements engineering, process modelling, systems analysis, and quantitative and qualitative analysis skills.
• Experience working with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams in Agile environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills, including influencing Director and Executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with data governance, master data, customer data, AI, or advanced analytics initiatives.
• Experience supporting vendor selection and technology evaluations.
• Knowledge of retail, ecommerce, financial services, or other customer-centric environments.
• CBAP, CCBA, BCS Advanced Business Analysis, SAFe, or Agile qualifications.
