System Engineer (Electrical & Electronic Circuit Protection)

What you will do

• Design and develop electrical sub-systems for industrial circuit breakers, fuse switch disconnectors, and related protection devices from concept through validation.
• Perform electrical calculations, simulations, component selection, prototyping, proof-of-concept work, and design verification testing.
• Integrate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and molding-process requirements into robust product designs.
• Lead technical activities for new product development projects and collaborate with research, prototype, laboratory, supplier, quality, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
• Support benchmarking, first-article inspections, manufacturing ramp-up, and troubleshooting of design issues during production launch.
• Maintain technical documentation, calculations, and test results while developing expertise in industrial breaker sub-systems and molding processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering; Mechanical Engineering with a strong electrical sub-system background may also be considered.
• Demonstrable experience designing electrical sub-systems for industrial applications.
• Experience with industrial circuit breakers, fuse switch disconnectors, or similar electrical protection products.
• Knowledge of electrical component selection, product standards, testing methods, product development cycles, and Stage-Gate processes.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, or environmental test setups and working in international, cross-functional environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Spanish are required.

• Master’s degree.
• Understanding of molding processes and Design for Manufacturing.
• APQP knowledge.
