Engineering Director (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Lead the electromechanical engineering department focused on high-power electronics and energy conversion systems.
• Direct the design, development, validation, and implementation of power converters, electric drive systems, and industrial power supplies.
• Review electrical drawings for medium- and high-voltage systems and mechanical designs covering structures and pneumatics.
• Oversee 3D equipment packaging and lead forced-air and liquid-cooling simulations for thermal management.
• Manage departmental budgets and KPIs while leading a team of specialist engineers.
• Approve manufacturing standards, work instructions, roadmaps, technical changes, and safety compliance measures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or an Industrial Engineering degree covering both specializations.
• At least 10 years of experience in detailed engineering and design of industrial mechanical and electrical projects.
• At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Experience with SolidWorks, ANSYS Fluent, Inventor, and EPLAN.
• Strong analytical thinking, rigorous product development practices, technical leadership, and commitment to engineering excellence.

Nice to have

• Specialization or Ph.D. in power electronics.
