AVP Senior Legal Counsel (Labor)

Location: Dallas, Texas; office presence required a minimum of 5 days per week, and the position is only located in the posted location

Salary: $231,700–$347,500 USD annually

What you will do

• Advise on labor contract interpretation, negotiations, application, compliance, labor strategy, and grievances.
• Provide counsel on personnel matters, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Handle federal and state agency matters involving organizations such as the NLRB, EEOC, and DOL.
• Defend labor arbitrations and oversee labor-related litigation.
• Advise internal clients on strategic, risk-adjusted solutions and business outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably including in-house counsel experience supporting large organizations.
• Management-side labor and employment law experience with strong communication, analytical, judgment, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment laws.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
• High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards, with the ability to collaborate across internal stakeholders and legal colleagues.
