Associate Quality Control (Microbiology)

Location: West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; onsite laboratory role. Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Salary: $62,571.90–$84,656.10 per year

What you will do

• Perform routine microbiological testing and data review, including bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, growth promotion, microbial identification, qPCR, and related methods.
• Conduct validation testing for products, raw materials, and component samples.
• Document, calculate, compile, interpret, and enter laboratory data using electronic systems and laboratory notebooks.
• Initiate deviations and technical risk assessments, draft and review controlled documents, and participate in investigations and audits.
• Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment and automated sampling systems such as LIMS, LMES, and CIMS.
• Perform gowning monitoring certification sampling, housekeeping, training activities, and compliance work in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of quality experience, an associate degree plus 6 months of quality experience, or a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in a fast-paced GxP laboratory and with microbiological test methods is preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance, electronic laboratory systems, and quality documentation workflows is preferred.
• Ability to comply with safety guidelines, cGMPs, CFRs, controlled procedures, and training requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication, prioritization, adaptability, project management, and presentation skills.
