IT Business Consultant (Healthcare)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, United States; hybrid schedule with a minimum of three office days per week

Base pay: $69,800–$125,900 annually

What you will do

• Validate business requirements and technology solutions supporting Medicare operations.
• Develop test strategies, scenarios, and cases for end-to-end business process testing.
• Execute testing and user acceptance testing across provider, claims, membership, enrollment, benefits, fulfillment, and digital functions.
• Assess defects, risks, business impacts, and system capabilities, and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate testing and delivery activities with business stakeholders, product teams, operations, technology organizations, and external vendors.
• Support Agile and Scrum activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, and releases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or seven years of relevant experience in business analysis, process improvement, project management, product operations, or healthcare.
• At least five years of experience in business testing, quality assurance, UAT, and business process validation.
• At least three years of experience supporting healthcare lines of business, preferably Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or commercial health insurance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of data modeling, database concepts, and SQL for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with healthcare claims processing, enrollment, provider and member functions, TriZetto platforms such as Facets or EAM, and tools including Jira, Confluence, and qTest.
