Industrial Engineering Co-Op/Intern

Location: East Syracuse, New York, USA; onsite work in a clean room environment

Salary: $18.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support the Industrial Engineering/Lean Team with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
• Conduct process observations and time studies.
• Assist with facility layout changes, 6S implementation, and visual factory initiatives.
• Support value stream mapping and documentation of current-state flows.
• Participate in kaizen events focused on operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• GPA above 3.0.
• Ability to work in a clean room while following clean room protocols and wearing required PPE.
• Reliable transportation is required because the facility is not conveniently located near a bus route.
• Availability for fall/winter 2026 through fall/winter 2027 blocks is expected, with preference for double-block availability.

Nice to have

• Previous co-op, internship, or work experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD.
