Sub Assembly Fitter

What you will do

• Assemble, strip, reuse, and maintain small gas turbine components according to engineering specifications.
• Perform mechanical fitting on rotating equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Operate lifting equipment and fixtures to move components safely during assembly.
• Record build figures and other required production data accurately.
• Apply quality, safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards in the production workspace.
• Collaborate with supporting departments and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
• NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent technical certificate in mechanical engineering, supported by relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role, preferably involving rotating equipment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work in the production environment in Lincoln, United Kingdom.
