Technical Writer I (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States; fully onsite with no plans for remote work

Base salary: $56,271.60–$84,407.40 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits for regular employees working 20+ hours per week.

What you will do

• Create, edit, and maintain operating manuals, installation procedures, maintenance instructions, troubleshooting guides, and upgrade documentation.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, product, and technical teams to gather information and validate documentation for accuracy and usability.
• Translate complex equipment and process details into clear documentation for customer and internal audiences.
• Develop illustrations and visual procedures using CAD-based or other technical visualization tools.
• Update documentation for engineering changes, product improvements, standards, new product introductions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience creating technical documentation for complex equipment, manufacturing processes, or highly technical products.
• Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Experience Manager, content management systems, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with CreoView or a comparable 3D CAD visualization tool.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to multiple audiences.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or ion implanter systems.
• Knowledge of SEMI S2/S13 guidelines and other documentation standards.
• Understanding of ECOs, DCOs, redlines, and revision workflows.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment, tools, and technical subject matter experts.
