Manufacturing Technician I (Specialty Materials)

Manufacturing operations producing graphite, silicon carbide, carbon, and other specialty materials.

What you will do

• Operate manufacturing equipment including high-temperature furnaces, bandsaws, mills, sanders, air mills, forklifts, and cranes.
• Process raw materials, green forming billets, and carbon billets for graphite, silicon carbide, and other specialty materials.
• Perform quality checks and maintain accurate production, machine operation, output, and quality records.
• Identify minor equipment malfunctions, assist with routine and preventative maintenance, and minimize downtime.
• Handle, store, and transport raw materials and finished products while maintaining product integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and production supervisors on troubleshooting, process optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical or technical experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic math, follow SOPs, and work safely in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and wear required PPE, including a full-mask respirator; respiratory fit testing is required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, lift and move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.
