Technician I (Welding Equipment Repair)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite at a retail shop. Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Repair, refurbish, restore, and maintain engine-driven welding equipment and generators.
• Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental, including testing and calibration.
• Inspect returned equipment, perform preventive maintenance, update parts, and coordinate parts ordering.
• Repaint equipment parts, apply touch-ups and decals, and maintain a clean, organized shop.
• Prepare repair documentation and support safe work practices and field operations.
• Occasionally provide on-site service and help customers select suitable equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to use a forklift, pallet jack, and other shop equipment.
• Thorough, organized approach to technical work and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with autonomy while staying aligned with branch and team goals.

Nice to have

• 0–1 years of related technical experience; early-career and career-transition candidates are welcome.
• Equipment repair and maintenance training.
• Working knowledge of power-generating and welding equipment.
