Spacecraft Systems Integration & Test Responsible Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, California, USA; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office.

What you will do

• Own system-level integration of spacecraft subsystems and coordinate functional, performance, vibration, and thermal-vacuum testing.
• Develop, review, and approve system-level test procedures and analyze test data.
• Lead anomaly investigations, failure analysis, root-cause resolution, and risk mitigation during integration and test.
• Own verification and validation of platform-level requirements and maintain test reports, compliance documentation, and verification artifacts.
• Support qualification, acceptance, and flight-readiness reviews, as well as launch-site activities and on-orbit commissioning.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, test, quality, subsystem, customer, and program teams to communicate system status and risks.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required to access export-controlled data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with system integration, testing, and qualification.
• Strong understanding of satellite subsystems and system-level interactions.
• Experience planning and executing system-level tests.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Prior flight hardware experience.
• Experience supporting spacecraft environmental testing campaigns.
• Familiarity with aerospace verification and qualification standards.
• Experience in a production or high-rate environment.
