What you will do

  • Lead a spacecraft integration and test sub-team of 6–10 direct reports, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
  • Own the spacecraft integration and test lifecycle from early design through launch-site operations, deployment, and on-orbit commissioning.
  • Develop and execute system-level verification and validation plans, test procedures, documentation, and automated test scripts.
  • Lead mechanical integration and electrical verification across avionics, propulsion, power, thermal, and RF subsystems.
  • Manage environmental test campaigns covering thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, acoustics, and EMI/EMC testing.
  • Direct anomaly investigations, root-cause analysis, non-conformance documentation, and cross-functional design-for-testability improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, electronics, mechatronics, or another engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in systems test engineering or another hands-on engineering role.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a team lead, manager, or technical leader.
  • Strong knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, including command and data handling, attitude determination and control, electrical power, propulsion, and thermal systems.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for program requirements, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility and applicable U.S. work authorization requirements.

Nice to have

  • Advanced engineering degree and experience delivering multiple spacecraft from design through launch.
  • Experience with electrical schematics, test instrumentation, mechanical ground-support equipment, RF testing, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Proficiency with Python, C++, MATLAB, SQL, Linux, Siemens NX, or Teamcenter.
  • Experience with clean-room operations, ESD-sensitive equipment, sensors, signal conditioning, and data acquisition electronics.
  • Experience coaching technical teams and developing junior engineers.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fast-paced, hands-on environment focused on ambitious space missions and tight delivery timelines.
  • Employee stock purchase program with a 15% discount and company equity as part of total compensation.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, including HMO, PPO, and a zero-cost HDHP option with HSA contributions.
  • Paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, parental leave, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match.
  • Additional benefits include subsidized EV charging, fitness facilities where available, gym discounts, snacks and beverages, and employee discounts.
