Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, available from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador, or El Salvador.

What you will do

• Set architectural direction for products from prototype through production.
• Design and build agentic AI workflows covering retrieval, tool use, planning, evaluation, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and safety guardrails.
• Make significant individual contributions to customer-facing SaaS products across Azure and AWS.
• Establish technical standards and engineering practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering throughout the full SDLC.
• Mentor engineers, influence engineering culture, and modernize legacy integration surfaces.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in senior, lead, or principal roles.
• Strong experience with Azure and AWS, Kubernetes in production, SQL, and NoSQL systems.
• Production experience shipping LLM-powered features, including retrieval, embeddings, tool calling, structured outputs, and cost and latency tradeoffs.
• Experience designing agentic workflows end to end and evaluating their failure modes and suitability versus deterministic pipelines.
• Experience with C#/.NET, Node, TypeScript, and Vue, with the ability to ramp up on unfamiliar codebases.
• Advanced English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Experience deploying inference workloads through Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or SageMaker.
• Experience with Autodesk products and APIs, or knowledge of construction, MEP, or manufacturing domains.
• Experience leading large-scale migrations, architectural transformations, or organization-wide technical standards.
• Familiarity with serverless, event-driven, and message-based architectures.
