Project Engineering Intern (Autonomous Boats & Unmanned Systems)

hirify.global Robotics is an early-stage technology start-up developing unmanned boats and automation systems for maritime applications.

What you will do

• Research government, regional, and European research and development funding programmes.
• Support the preparation and writing of funding proposals.
• Assist with project management, reporting, coordination, and documentation for ongoing R&D projects.
• Communicate with project partners and prepare technical and commercial materials.
• Support project engineering activities, including component selection, mechanical assembly, electrical design or assembly, testing, and technical documentation.
• Contribute to video or media editing and other start-up activities according to skills and interests.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Business with Engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering, or a related degree.
• Fluent German at minimum B2 level required.
• Sufficient English for day-to-day internal communication; English is the primary team working language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using a range of AI tools.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience applying for government, regional, or European funding programmes.
• Practical workshop experience with electrical or mechanical systems.
• Experience or personal interest in marine technology, robotics, or autonomous systems.
