Senior Principal Software Engineer (EDA)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual salary: $161,000–$299,000, with potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Enhance and support the Xcelium RTL/logic simulator engine.
• Develop timing constraints verification technology for Xcelium.
• Design, tune, and innovate graph algorithms for SDC constraints on multi-billion-node graphs.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and optimize compilation speed and memory usage in C/C++.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Write technical specifications and unit tests.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience with an MS, or at least 5 years with a PhD.
• At least 5 years of EDA software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RTL/logic simulation, SDC constraints, timing analysis, and path exception handling in STA tools.
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills and a deep understanding of SystemVerilog or Verilog.
• Experience with multithreaded or concurrent programming.
