Commercial Controller - West Region (Rail Infrastructure)

Location: Bristol, West Region, UK; the role includes attending project progress meetings and reviewing weekly site records.

What you will do

• Support the commercial and contract delivery teams with profitability, cash management, cost control, and accurate reporting.
• Assist with applications for payment, credit control, income forecasting, variation pricing, and change control.
• Contribute to project risk management, CVRs, CTC reviews, forecasting data, and monthly financial performance reports.
• Support the full subcontract cycle, including documentation, placement, payment, and KPI reporting.
• Review site records, allocation sheets, and site diaries, and attend project progress meetings.
• Help improve commercial performance through lean tools, collaborative planning, best practice, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in a commercial or business administration role.
• Post-degree experience in a contracting commercial department, preferably within the rail industry.
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret construction industry conditions of contract.
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining a professional development log.
