Project Finance Analyst

Location: Barcelona, Spain — hybrid

Sateliot develops satellite connectivity that enables standard commercial devices to communicate directly from space.

What you will do

• Track finances, costs, payroll-related data, timesheets, staff dedication, and personnel cost allocations for funded R&D projects.
• Manage project invoicing and prepare, review, and organize documentation for public grant justifications.
• Upload and validate economic data in official platforms and prepare supporting documentation for audits.
• Coordinate with clients, auditors, accounting firms, funding entities, and other external parties.
• Support budgeting, cost-center variance analysis, supplier invoice management, accounting, monthly close, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Document and improve Finance processes, including automation, dashboards, and occasional patent administration support.

Requirements

• Experience in economic control of projects, ideally involving public grants or subsidies.
• Knowledge of payroll, the 190 Model, and timesheets, or the ability to learn relevant platforms quickly.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Native or C2-level Spanish, spoken and written, is required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Catalan and English, spoken and written.
• Previous experience in the space or technology sector.
