Operations Data Analyst, Senior (SQL/Python)

Location: Hybrid in Oakland and the Bay Area of PG&E's service territory; onsite work is typically required 1–3 days per week. An in-person interview is required in San Ramon.

Salary: $105,000–$169,000 annually, plus eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation programs.

What you will do

• Manage complex data analysis and data management projects from initial requests through delivery of findings.
• Design analyses, process and cleanse data, and develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends, and profiles.
• Manage complex data extracts and transfers supporting operational analysis.
• Create automated routines and processes for reporting and data delivery.
• Communicate clear, concise, and actionable findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Recommend new data sources and improvements to databases and data processes.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 4 years of job-related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of data processing and data analysis techniques.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks independently.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with utility operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills, including complex formulas, graphing, and VBA.
• Advanced SQL query-writing skills using Oracle or Business Objects.
• Experience with Python and libraries such as Pandas and Statsmodels.
• Project management experience.
