Specialist, Multimedia Training Content Writer (Technical Training)

Location: Rochester, New York, United States; onsite. Schedule: 9/80, with every other Friday off.

Salary: $63,500–$117,500 annually in New York State.

What you will do

• Consult with internal customers, subject matter experts, and team members to create video scripts, e-learning lessons, and training copy.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear topics, examples, and use-case scenarios.
• Develop engaging multimedia training products for end users and employees.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, graphic designers, developers, and multimedia specialists.
• Apply visual design, animation, and graphic design approaches to improve learning outcomes and engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, English, technology, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience.
• Experience with informative writing and developing video scripts.
• Ability to explain technical content in a conversational tone for audiences with varied educational and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong teamwork, creativity, and ability to incorporate input from multiple sources and subject matter experts.
• Some positions may require a security clearance, which is available only to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tactical communication and military operations.
• Professional writing samples or a portfolio.
