Director, Cross-Border Risk Business Partner (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid position based in the Atlanta, Georgia office, with at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $151,600–$242,800 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Advise the Cross-Border organization and executive leadership on strategic, operational, regulatory, financial crime, third-party, and technology risks.
• Assess new corridors, market expansions, payment flows, issuing programs, issuer models, fintech partnerships, stablecoin initiatives, and other emerging payment capabilities.
• Lead risk assessments for major initiatives, product launches, market expansions, and regulatory-driven changes.
• Connect hirify.global's Risk Appetite Framework with business strategy, growth objectives, and operational execution.
• Develop risk profiles, key risk indicators, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and executive-level risk insights.
• Strengthen governance, controls, operational resilience, risk ownership, issue management, and risk culture across the Cross-Border portfolio.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Experience supporting payment networks, cross-border payments, issuing, acquiring, treasury, merchant, or transaction-based businesses.
• Strong understanding of cross-border payment flows, payment ecosystem participants, regulatory frameworks, and market expansion considerations.
• Experience with enterprise, operational, regulatory, strategic, product, or business risk functions and related risk programs.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and executive influence skills.
• Experience working across large, global, matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Nice to have

• 12 or more years of experience in financial services, payments, fintech, banking, consulting, or technology.
• Experience with Product Risk Reviews, Risk and Control Self-Assessments, third-party risk management, operational risk management, and regulatory risk management.
• Knowledge of hirify.global's payments ecosystem, issuer and merchant landscape, cross-border payment capabilities, and regulatory environment.
• MBA, master's degree, FRM, CRISC, CRCM, CISA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
