Senior Engineer - HAMR (Early-Career)

Location: Onsite at the Longmont or Shakopee, United States campus

Base salary: $94,140.00–$135,000.00 per year

What you will do

• Optimize the head/disk electrical interface for HAMR hard drives.
• Perform bench-level testing of hard drives.
• Analyze large datasets of hard-drive parameters.
• Contribute to design verification, failure analysis, problem solving, and hands-on laboratory measurements.
• Work independently and collaboratively to communicate complex technical findings.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Knowledge of magnetic principles and hands-on failure-analysis experience.
• Experience with oscilloscopes and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to process and analyze large datasets.
• Programming experience in Python or Matlab.
• Strong experimental, self-directed, learning, and technical communication skills.
