Associate Director, CMC Project Management

hirify.global provides technical expertise across multiple sites to support complex, multi-stakeholder CMC programs and client partnerships.

What you will do

• Act as the primary client interface, representing WuXi with credibility, clarity, and commercial awareness.
• Build long-term relationships with stakeholders across R&D, CMC, Quality, Regulatory, and Procurement.
• Coordinate internal DS, DP, Analytical, Regulatory, and Quality teams to align priorities, timelines, and commitments.
• Oversee multiple client programs, managing relationship health, strategic alignment, risks, and delivery confidence.
• Support account expansion, proposals, governance meetings, and senior client discussions.
• Coach and model effective client communication, collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in life sciences; chemistry is preferred.
• At least 5 years of pharmaceutical or CRO/CMO industry experience, preferably in API or drug product R&D and manufacturing.
• Proven client-facing CMC experience in a CDMO, CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environment.
• Strong understanding of CMC development and manufacturing, with technical literacy but no requirement for hands-on technical execution.
• Fluency in Mandarin is required.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication, with strong judgment, diplomacy, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing strategic or enterprise-level client accounts.
• Exposure to China-based manufacturing or global delivery models.
• Commercial awareness, coaching, or mentoring experience.
