Video Editor (Sports)

What you will do

• Edit campaign, social, digital advertising, hype reel, and broadcast-adjacent content for NBA, MLB, and NHL.
• Transform game footage, league feeds, B-roll, and original shoot footage into fast-paced sports narratives.
• Create platform-specific assets for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, CTV, stadium screens, and hirify.global-owned inventory.
• Collaborate with Motion Designers, Designers, Copywriters, Art Directors, and Creative Directors from brief through final cut.
• Integrate motion graphics, titles, lower thirds, and stat overlays while maintaining brand and usage standards.
• Manage concurrent edits, footage libraries, project files, version control, and fast turnarounds tied to live sports schedules.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally in sports, entertainment, or live-event content.
• A strong reel demonstrating sports or high-energy campaign editing; NBA, MLB, NHL, or similar experience is strongly preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
• Strong understanding of pacing, rhythm, story structure, music, and sound design.
• Experience with sports footage, broadcast feeds, stat graphics, and archival or league content.
• Strong organization, file management, naming conventions, and version-control skills, with the ability to manage fast-turnaround work.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of After Effects for basic titling and compositing.
• Experience incorporating AI and automation tools into creative workflows.
• Experience supporting pitch and pre-sale decks with sizzle edits.
