Associate Video Editor, TODAY Digital

Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, United States. Hybrid schedule requiring work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year.

What you will do

• Acquire, select, edit, publish, and distribute live and on-demand video for digital, streaming, and social platforms.
• Monitor NBC broadcast feeds and create clips and edits from TODAY programming.
• Ingest and organize media, sync cameras and audio, create selects and stringouts, and assemble rough cuts.
• Maintain project files, media, metadata, production-server assets, and archive materials.
• Coordinate broadcast, social, and audio deliverables with producers to ensure accurate, properly formatted, on-time delivery.
• Manage multiple projects, incorporate feedback, and complete edits in a fast-paced news and production environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional video editing or production experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Avid Media Composer are required.
• Knowledge of video formats, codecs, post-production workflows, and social-first vertical video for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Strong editorial judgment, visual storytelling, pacing, organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, manage large volumes of media, and incorporate feedback quickly.
• Familiarity with TODAY, NBC News, and the broader hirify.global portfolio is expected.
