Packaging Support Technician (FTC) (Packaging Operations)

Location: Cramlington, Northumberland, United Kingdom; onsite role. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract with no relocation offered.

What you will do

• Support the design, build, testing, operational assessment, and implementation of a new facility with multiple high-speed blister packaging lines.
• Perform fault finding on packaging equipment, automated systems, and networks; diagnose issues, source parts, and coordinate internal and external resources.
• Support project activities within agreed timelines and budgets, including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ, and PV activities where applicable.
• Maintain and repair designated equipment to meet packaging priorities and optimize equipment performance.
• Raise and manage change controls and atypical engineering maintenance observations through completion.
• Complete cGMP documentation and CMMS work orders while supporting packaging and validation engineers during project execution.

Requirements

• Strong professional background in packaging operations.
• Technical qualification, such as Level 3 Mechanical Engineering, and/or relevant experience.
• Experience supporting technical transfers, equipment qualification, or process validation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tooling requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills across multiple packaging equipment breakdown scenarios.

Nice to have

• Experience with contractor and permit work systems.
• Experience mentoring process operators and supporting training for new processes, systems, and machinery.
