Design for Implementation Specialist (Packaging)

What you will do

• Process daily design enquiries and translate customer insights into practical packaging solutions.
• Develop fit-for-purpose designs balancing performance, sustainability, manufacturing capability, and cost.
• Create and maintain structural, graphic, technical, and manufacturing drawings.
• Support new product introduction, manufacturing approvals, production trials, and tooling orders.
• Produce prototypes, manage prototype materials, and support customer and internal evaluations.
• Develop pallet plans and contribute to efficiency, waste reduction, margin improvement, board grade modelling, and packaging optimisation projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of design experience; packaging experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and product development.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably ArtiosCAD, and packaging software such as CAPE or Optim.
• Understanding of 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
• Packaging or product design qualification, relevant experience, and competent use of Microsoft Office, CAD, and graphics software.

Nice to have

• Health & Safety qualification.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma qualification.
