Mechanical Engineer Consultant - Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery

What you will do

• Develop advanced drug delivery devices and combination products from feasibility and concept creation through verification, manufacturing transfer, and launch.
• Apply first-principles mechanical engineering to complex and unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Generate concepts, perform analysis and modelling, create detailed designs, and build rapid prototypes.
• Conduct hands-on experimental work from laboratory development through pilot-scale testing.
• Work with business development colleagues to understand client needs and prepare technical proposals.
• Lead technical delivery, project scoping, programme planning, milestone mapping, and client communication.

Requirements

• Minimum Master's qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of industry experience.
• Demonstrable mechanical engineering capability across concept creation, analysis, modelling, detailed design, and rapid prototyping.
• Experience with client engagements, trusted partner relationships, sales meetings, and opportunity development.
• Experience leading or supporting project scoping, proposal creation, programme planning, deliverable communication, and milestone mapping.
• Strong first-principles understanding and the ability to reason clearly across a wide range of technical challenges.
