Senior Credit Officer (Political Risk)

Location: London, United Kingdom; team members are expected to work primarily in the office.

What you will do

• Perform regular credit reviews and credit rating recommendations for structured corporate credit and project finance obligors.
• Analyze credit risk across transactions and contribute to deal memoranda and internal transaction presentations.
• Establish obligor-group appetite limits, execute delegated approvals, and present reviews to internal authority holders.
• Maintain credit ratings, exposure limits, approvals, and supporting documentation across assigned portfolios.
• Respond to ad hoc credit appetite and exposure inquiries from underwriters, Credit Lines, and Enterprise Risk Management.
• Collaborate with Credit Lines leadership, Political Risk underwriters, Trade Credit officers, and internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of credit risk and transaction analysis experience in a leading bank, trade credit organization, or equivalent.
• Experience with market-leading credit risk analysis techniques and tools.
• Understanding of Credit Lines products, credit risk drivers, and mitigants.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines, competing priorities, varied workloads, and changing environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen; willingness to travel regionally is desirable.

• Experience conducting obligor visits and calls or presenting to investors and analysts.
