Backend Engineer (AI Healthcare)

Location: Remote from São Paulo, Brazil

hirify.global is building an AI-native healthcare platform covering clinical documentation, patient and revenue workflows, and autonomous revenue cycle management integrated with more than 60 EHRs.

What you will do

• Build production AI systems for claims submission, remittance posting, denials, appeals, and document extraction.
• Design and implement end-to-end integration workflows from initial architecture through deployment and post-launch monitoring.
• Contribute to the technical direction of the revenue cycle management platform and drive architectural improvements.
• Improve reliability, observability, performance, scalability, and resilience through monitoring, logging, alerting, and infrastructure practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, healthcare, infrastructure, and operations stakeholders to define technical approaches and priorities.
• Review code and mentor engineers while promoting technical excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, or C++.
• Experience with Git, GCP or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, and monitoring or alerting tools.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions, making architectural decisions, and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.
