DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden; a valid Swedish work permit is required.

What you will do

• Build and continuously improve an internal Engineering Platform for real-time payment authorization.
• Provide development teams with self-service tools for creating, testing, launching, managing, and monitoring services.
• Design scalable infrastructure that reduces delivery delays and the operational overhead of security, governance, and compliance.
• Support fast, independent software delivery and measure platform success through observable business outcomes.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support internal teams operating services at scale.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of production software engineering experience, particularly with Python and version control.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, and preferably AWS ECS.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services including ELB, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, S3, and RDS.
• Experience with cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancing.
• Experience using Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code, plus familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, REST APIs, authentication, access control, and OAuth 2.0.
• Fluent English and/or Swedish, a relevant degree, and a valid Swedish work permit.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with observability, DevOps culture, automation, lean processes, metrics, and resilience.
• Publicly available code, technical writing, or projects demonstrating engineering experience.
• Experience developing secure or PCI-DSS-certified solutions.
